Fibonacci Wave

This Fibonacci-inspired wall sculpture intricately weaves together art, mathematics, and design through a stunningly complex wire structure. Composed of 182 3D-printed parts, each meticulously hand-painted, the sculpture’s geometry is based on the Fibonacci sequence, an algorithm that manifests in nature’s most harmonious forms. This precise pattern of growth and expansion is echoed in the sculpture’s radial design, with each wire component carefully following the logarithmic spiral dictated by the sequence.

 

The wire structures are a marvel of engineering, with each segment radiating from the center in a precise, interconnected pattern, forming geometric polygons that seem to grow organically outward. These multi-layered shapes create a dynamic wave, reminiscent of the fluidity found in ocean currents. The overlapping wires cast intricate shadows that shift with the light, further enhancing the depth and dimensionality of the piece. This complex latticework creates the illusion of motion as if the wave is perpetually unfurling across the wall.

 

The use of color, from deep fluorescent ink blues to serene seafoam aquas, intensifies the oceanic feel of the sculpture.
